Passenger Bill of Rights?

Welcome back!

I think it’s only fitting to start off with an acknowlegement to Kate Hanni and her Coalition for an Airline Passenger Bill of Rights.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…WE NEED HELP.

As a veteran of a major airline, I had the benefit of seeing things from THEIR point of view. Very few of the traveling public get this “insider” perspective.

I’m certainly not defending them, nor am I saying it’s all their fault. But this country could definitely use a Passenger Bill of Rights. One that can benefit us and them MUTUALLY. But again, as passengers, we need to quit being so selfish and understand that some things just can’t be avoided.

I mean, let’s be real.

Everybody wants cheap flights.

Without being hypocrites, how do we contunually demand to give them less and ask for more? At the same time, they need to give when it’s time.

Anyway, this is a great effort to help meet in the middle. To quote her blog… “We are commited to solutions for promoting airline passenger policies that forward first and foremost the safety of all passengers while not imposing unrealistic economic burdens that adversely affect airline profitability or create exhorbitant ticket price increases.”
